Asus Chromebook Error Cryotohome – How to Fix
If you’ve recently purchased an ASUS Chromebook and you’ve encountered an error titled “Asus Chromebook: Cryotohome”, there are a few things you can do to fix the problem. First, make sure that you’ve enrolled the device in Device Management, if it isn’t already. Next, follow these steps to restore your device to factory defaults.
If the problem persists after the steps listed above, try logging in with an old password, or by browsing as a guest. If you’re using a Wi-Fi connection, try entering your entire email address in the username field. Or, try browsing as a guest for a while. Once you’ve logged in again, try using your password again. If none of these steps work, you can try hard reset or powerwashing your device.
After these steps, you may find that your Chromebook is functioning again, but you still have an error. If your machine is still in recovery mode, you need to perform hard reset on it. Hard reset will reset the hardware and remove any files in your download folder. Most Chromebooks have this option built-in. To perform a hard reset, hold the refresh button for about ten seconds, and then release the refresh button.
