The Samsung officially revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 2 earlier this month, but at the time, it didn’t say everything about the new foldable’s specs. Today we can confirm one detail of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 thanks to a new leak.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has starred in a brief hands-on video on TikTok by Android Police, and it confirms that the phone will support a 120Hz refresh rate. In the TikTok video, we get a brief look in the Settings app, and there are options for 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rates.
The 15-second video shows off a few other aspects of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 as well. We get to see the lock screen lighting up the 6.2-inch external display, the camera app running on the 7.6-inch main screen, and the dialer on both displays.
Samsung has been spreading 120Hz refresh rate support to its flagships this year, including the Galaxy S20 series and the Note 20 Ultra, so it’s good to see the Galaxy Z Fold 2 getting it well. A higher refresh rate helps make animations and scrolling look smoother, and it makes a Galaxy Z Fold 2 that already had some reliable display upgrades even more appealing.
Full details announced on September 1.
