Macports MariaDB

The Macports MariaDB package provides support for MariaDB. Using mariadb is a great way to create a database that runs on Macs. This package also includes the PHP and Apache libraries. The installation process is easy and includes good documentation. Just make sure you have administrator rights, uncheck Personal Web sharing, and set up the mysql db.
