Valorant: How to utilize Jett in the best way?

Valorant is a 5v5 character-based game that was released in the year 2020 by Riot Games. Valorant is infamous for having agents with different ability kit that helps them defeat enemies alongside gun fight. While Valorant is very different from most other FPS games, Valorant has still made an impact in the gaming industry quite well, Valorant has most definitely made its place and has been dominating ever since it was released in 2020. Valorant is mostly based on ability-based gameplay and requires some level of skill and awareness to utilize agents to their maximum capability.

There are currently 4 agent categories that are available in Valorant: Duelists, Controllers, Initiators, and Sentinels. Each agent has their function and set of abilities that they can utilize to benefit their team and lead them to a glorious victory. People tend to forget what their roles are supposed to be doing and then lose the game eventually.

Jett is a duelist agent hailing from South Korea with most of her abilities are based around the agent’s movement as well. Playing Jett does require a good amount of skill and practice as perfecting movement in this game has to be one of the most daunting tasks. So without further ado, let’s learn everything about Jett and how to utilize her kit to the best interest possible!

Dash (E/Signature Ability)

Jett’s dash has to be one of the best and easiest ways of moving away from a duel to reposition and re-strategize your tactics so that you have a better advantage. Let’s say, you are swinging a wide area with no cover nearby and you want to get a pick and just escape, well that’s exactly what Dash is for. To use dash you have to press E once to activate it and then within a certain time frame, you need to press E yet again to escape from the enemies.

Players tend to make the common mistake of just putting a Cloudburst and then dashing on to the site without clearing any angles and then getting hit by enemies on the site while attacking. However, if you slightly rotate your mouse on both sides while dashing on the site, you’ll be able to spot enemies on the minimap, or your teammates can spot them and back you up while entering the site. This can save a lot of your lives as you would be contributing close to nothing while entering the site.

Updraft (Q ability)

Updraft doesn’t necessarily need to be used just when you pull out your ult but rather can be used to hide onto cheeky spots and trigger discipline enemies when they enter the site. Updraft can also be used to dodge Sova’s ult as well as get you some moving space to exit a heavy battleground.

Updraft can also be used to gather information by updating once along a wall and peeking at certain cheeky angles. This way, they won’t necessarily be able to spot you but you can and although you’d be reflecting on their minimap, you can reposition and the enemies would not be able to trace you out.

Cloudburst (C ability)

Cloudburst is only used when players tend to enter the site and then neglect it the entire game for no apparent reason when it can be used for so much more. It can either be used to escape a tough duel scene and hide within it as it’s traditionally used or it can be used in multiple ways such as either dodging Sova’s recon darts or hiding in cheeky spots. It can even be used as far as to create one way and stop enemies from entering a site.

Sometimes, you may not have a controller, but with Jett’s cloudburst mechanics it is quite accurate and the minimap also reflects as to where the smoke is. This can help you block off angles for a very short time but can most definitely be used to block off such angles and help your team enter the site.

Bladestorm (X/Ultimate Ability)

People tend to take their melee knife out when they have their blade storm activated and think that it can make you move faster, which couldn’t be far from the truth as having blade storm provides you a bit of extra movement with the assurance of having a weapon in hand and can use it as far as to kill enemies while moving. It also should be focused that, yes, aiming for the head gives you an assured reason but while you have drafted and mid-air, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to aim heads as you might miss and gain enemies’ attention, so catch them off-guard at any given point as you do have an advantage.

Wrap Up

Jett is a very skilled agent, but that doesn’t mean that you have to be intimidated by her, it just gives you yet another reason to be able to play and master her so that you can obliterate enemies on the battlefield. Jett is such a great agent when it comes to catching enemies off guard and escape the place within milliseconds. It may take a little time but it can most definitely help you destroy enemies.
