Black Ops Cold War Player Count 2021
In the latest Call of Duty game, Black Ops Cold War, there are thousands of players. This game is renowned for its fast-paced multiplayer action and Zombie slaying. A tracking website for PlayStation has recorded that 217 users have spent over 1,200 hours playing the game. Clearly, that’s a small sample of the game’s player base. The game has been available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
The game’s simplicity has been widely acclaimed, with positive reviews for its campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Some criticism relates to its lack of innovation, though. Despite the controversies, it remains one of the best-selling video games of the year in the US. Whether or not it’s a great game depends on its quality, but this one stands out from the crowd.
Activision announced the player count for its upcoming game “Black Ops: Warzone” earlier this year. In the first month, the game had more than 111 million monthly active players, while Black Ops Cold War had a player count of 100 million since March 2021. The two games were predicted to lead the Call of Duty franchise in the future. The company also acknowledged that the monthly active player count for Call of Duty had declined year-on-year. The company put this down to poor sales of Vanguard.
Call of Duty has been known to be a cesspool of toxic 12-year-olds and hostile middle-aged men, and Cold War is no exception. In the year 2020-2021, Activision banned 350k players for a range of racial names and racist behaviour. These actions may have lowered the player count in Black Ops, but they didn’t reduce the level of diversity in the game.
In December 2020, Activision reported that Black Ops Cold War had sold 5.7 million digital copies. That number suggests that there must be at least 5.7 million players playing the game. However, there are no services that track Black Ops Cold War’s active player count, since Activision isn’t providing these stats. Its sister game, Warzone, uses a completely different player count tracking system called Playercounter.
Black Ops Cold War is not an unplayable game, but it doesn’t live up to its predecessor, Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Despite its age, Black Ops Cold War is still a top Call of Duty game. It has more content than Call of Duty Vanguard, which is another game from the series. However, it still lacks some of the content that made Call of Duty Modern Warfare so popular.
The game features a variety of characters in the multiplayer mode, including Alex Mason, Frank Woods, Jason Hudson, Lawrence Sims, and Helen Park. Adler, a Mossad fixer, and KGB head of security Dimitri Belikov are playable characters. The former ad aides the undercover Adler in finding Perseus. Both Mason and Belikov are playable characters in various segments.
It’s difficult to get a precise player count for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was released free as a part of PlayStation Plus in July of this year, and the game lacks a joint progression system. However, Black Ops 4 is still a popular game, and the PlayStation tracking website PS-Timetracker tracks CoD games before Modern Warfare (2019), and Black Ops 4 is included in the list of games. While these numbers aren’t exact, it’s safe to say that around 5,000-10,000 people are playing the game in September of 2021.
