Pulse Secure VPN Appliance Vulnerabilities

The Pulse Secure VPN appliance is a security solution which enables secure internet access over the Internet. It has a number of features that prevents unauthorized access to sensitive data. One such feature is the webshell. Webshells are small programs that can bypass authentication by using a backdoor key. The Pulse Secure VPN appliance supports these webshells.

However, hackers have already started targeting the Pulse Connect Secure VPN appliance. It has a few known vulnerabilities and one zero-day vulnerability. These vulnerabilities target government, financial, and defense organizations. According to the security firm FireEye, threat actors are already exploiting the vulnerabilities. As a result, the company has committed to release a patch early next month. Once this patch is available, hackers will start piling on.
